Ken Applebaum

Ken Applebaum Founder and Director COTSWORKS Ken Applebaum is the Founder and Director of COTSWORKS, a designer and manufacturer of harsh environment fiber optic components. Ken is a frequent speaker at avionics and fiber optics industry events and has a number of patents in process for harsh environment fiber optics. COTSWORKS is a leading supplier to companies such as Rockwell, GE Aviation, and Boeing and is set to achieve AS9100 certification. Previous to starting COTSWORKS, Ken worked in the fiber optics where he designed and installed networks for major Telcos as well as on board submarines in military facilities. He previously worked in the embedded networking space where he developed a leading edge development kit with Freescale (then Motorola) for the automotive market.
